Starcleaner Reunion: Embrace the Sounds of “Plein Air” on TunesDeck

Starcleaner Reunion – “Plein Air”

Recently, the team at Stereogum has developed a keen interest in Starcleaner Reunion, a band based in New York. Their sound can be likened to a blend of Stereolab with influences from the Ridgewood area, which we find quite appealing. They have released a new single titled “The Hand That I Put Down” from their upcoming EP Café Life, which we selected as one of the Best Songs Of The Week. Today, we are excited to introduce another track, “Plein Air.”

In contrast to the upbeat vibe of “The Hand That I Put Down,” “Plein Air” has a more airy and reflective quality. This is enhanced by Jo Roman’s evocative lyrics: “The wherewithal collapsed in the image/ The mirrored sky, collects and shows reverie.” It’s a beautiful piece, and you can take a listen below.

The EP Café Life will be released on September 20th.
