Mammoth Grinder, known for their old-school death metal sound, originally a Power Trip side project led by drummer Chris Ulsh in 2008, is making a comeback. After the release of their last album Cosmic Trip in 2018, Ulsh ventured into other bands like Devil Master before reuniting with Power Trip following the passing of Riley Gale. Now, Mammoth Grinder reveals their first record in six years.
The upcoming EP, Undying Spectral Resonance, set to be released this fall, is a solo project by Chris Ulsh. He handled all the instruments and vocals, delving into a theme of ominous atmospheres where the earthly and otherworldly meet. The EP’s title track offers a fierce metal-punk blend that resonates with the resurgence of old-school death metal in hardcore music.
Ulsh has assembled a new touring lineup for Mammoth Grinder, featuring members like Ryan Parrish from Iron Reagan on drums and affiliates from Noisem and Loud Night. The band will be hitting the road alongside Genocide Pact and Nails for upcoming shows and below are the tracklist and tour dates for the new EP.
