Party Dozen Latest Release – “Coup De Gronk”

Party Dozen, a duo from Sydney, despite their name, consists of only two members who create unique and energetic music with a saxophone and drums. Following their explosive debut in 2022 with The Real Work, they are now gearing up to release their latest LP, Crime In Australia. Leading up to the album release, they have already shared singles such as “Wake In Might,” “The Big Man Upstairs,” and “Money & The Drugs.” Their newest single, “Coup De Gronk,” presents a riff-based instrumental track with pulsating sequencers.

The music video for “Coup De Gronk” was co-written by Party Dozen along with Tanya Babić and Jason Sukadana of VERSUS. It portrays a neon-noir crime scene where Party Dozen embodies underworld enforcers wielding finger-guns and saxophones. Describing the video, they mention:

The concept for this video was Party Dozen Debt Collectors – unpredictable and unusual. As we are not inclined towards violence, we had to get creative with our enforcement methods. Tanya and Jason successfully captured a blend of delinquency and humor, with a clear homage to classic Australian gang films and old crime series, capturing the essence of the motion picture haze.
