John Legend’s surprise announcement revealed his collaboration with Sufjan Stevens on a new kids’ album titled My Favorite Dream. The album features “sing-alongs and lullabies for children and families” and is now available.
My Favorite Dream includes nine original songs by Legend along with three Fisher-Price covers and three bonus tracks. Legend commended Stevens for his whimsical and dreamy musical style, expressing his belief that Stevens was the ideal choice to bring the songs to life. Legend stated, “I just felt his musical approach would be perfect for building arrangements and soundscapes to complement the songs. When I was thinking about who could bring these songs to life with me, he was the first and only choice. I’m so glad he said ‘yes’.” Listen to the LP below.
