Hank Heaven, a musician hailing from Brooklyn, known for their work with acts like Samia, Del Water Gap, and Gus Dapperton, and the formation of Peach Fuzz in 2022, has collaborated with Beach Bunny’s Lili Trifilio on the poignant track “Beloved.”
The production credit for “Beloved” goes to Jake Luppen. In reference to the song, Heaven shared, “‘Beloved’ delves into the theme of the isolating nature of anger. Despite the solitude that comes with hatred, I was excited to have Lili from Beach Bunny feature on the song, highlighting the universal aspect of this loneliness.”
With a runtime of under three minutes, “Beloved” encapsulates the sentiments of a breakup, filled with brooding and frustration as Heaven’s vocals, enhanced by Auto-Tune, convey the message, “Sucks being alone, hating you/ I did you a favor/ Sucks holding a grudge with someone beloved/ Who’ll just use you later.” The track offers a raw and emotional narrative. It is revealed that Heaven is in the final stages of completing their debut album and will be supporting Hippo Campus at New York’s Bowery Ballroom on Sept. 24. Listen to “Beloved” below.
