RVG, the Australian rock band, recently covered the Ramones’ “Pet Sematary” and also shared a new track called “Don’t Take It Badly.” This follows their previous collaboration with Julia Jacklin on a cover of Björk’s “Army Of Me.”
The band’s third album, Brain Worms, which was released last year, received accolades such as the 2023 Soundmerch Australian Music Prize and the AIR Awards Independent Album Of The Year. “Don’t Take It Badly” is a mellow, surf-influenced reflection on heartbreak, while their rendition of “Pet Sematary” offers a more profound interpretation compared to the original.
