St. Lenox: New Single “Rudy” and Upcoming Album
St. Lenox is gearing up to release a new album titled Ten Modern American Work Songs following the success of 2021’s Ten Songs of Worship and Praise for Our Tumultuous Times. This 11-track album is inspired by the NYU law school class of 2014 and explores the themes of education, employment, and social mobility, drawing from Andrew Choi’s personal experiences of academia and law.
In a press release, Choi expresses his intention for the record to reflect the realities of modern work life, aiming to provide a sense of motivation and understanding for listeners on ethical and political levels. The lead single, “Rudy,” features Choi’s powerful vocals accompanied by acoustic guitar and organ, weaving a tale that touches on the grindset mentality.
The album includes tracks such as “(Eulogy for the Company Man),” “Courtesan,” “Lust for Life,” and “Kalahari,” each offering a unique perspective on the modern work landscape. Ten Modern American Work Songs is set to be released on 10/25 via Don Giovanni/Anyway, and pre-orders are available here.
Get ready to immerse yourself in St. Lenox’s introspective musical journey that sheds light on the complexities of the contemporary work environment.
