Trace Mountains, led by LVL UP’s Dave Benton, has released a new single and video titled “Friend,” featuring Craig Hendrix of Japanese Breakfast. This follows the announcement of their upcoming album, Into The Burning Blue, and the release of the lead single, “In A Dream.”
Benton reflects on the meaning behind “Friend,” stating, “I like to joke that I’m a ‘loner in recovery.’ When I wrote ‘Friend,’ I was facing a significant transition in my life. It was my way of acknowledging and addressing my own loneliness, diving into the complexities of friendship and grappling with the typical millennial sense of malaise.”
