RZA recently revealed the title track for his new classical music album, A Ballet Through The Mud, scheduled for release on August 30. This album, composed and scored by the Wu-Tang Clan member, features performances by the Colorado Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Christopher Dragon. The music narrates RZA’s personal journey from his upbringing in the Staten Island projects to his current high-profile status.
In a statement unveiling the album, RZA shared, “I have been composing my whole life, although I didn’t know initially that was what I was doing. The inspiration for A Ballet Through Mud comes from my earliest creative output as a teenager, but its themes are universal — love, exploration, and adventure.” He hopes the music will serve as a soundtrack for listeners’ daily experiences and spark their imaginations.
