Carl Hiaasen’s novel Bad Monkey has been adapted into an Apple TV+ miniseries, featuring a star-studded cast and a soundtrack filled with Tom Petty covers. Eddie Vedder’s rendition of “Room At The Top” sets the stage for a tribute to the late legend.
The Bad Monkey soundtrack will showcase a variety of current artists covering Tom Petty’s songs. We can expect to hear Weezer’s version of “Here Comes My Girl,” the War On Drugs performing “You Wreck Me,” Sharon Van Etten’s take on “I Won’t Back Down,” and more.
While the full soundtrack will be released in October, new Petty covers will be unveiled with each weekly episode. In the first episode, we hear Fitz & The Tantrums cover “Even The Losers” and Flipturn’s rendition of “Don’t Do Me Like That.” Check out the soundtrack’s tracklist below.
