Drug Church has teased their upcoming album Prude with tracks like “Myopic” in 2023 and “Demolition Man” last month, which were both featured on the Best Songs Of The Week list. Today, the post-hardcore band presents “Chow,” their latest single that stands out as one of their finest.
“Chow” embodies Drug Church’s characteristic chaotic energy, tinged with a hint of melancholy as Patrick Kindlon reflects on relationships gone wrong. The song includes poignant lyrics like “Keeping your circle small is how you rescue yourself,” and a line that resonates, “Nothing ever works,” subtly referencing their 2015 hit “But Does It Work?” Despite the years that have passed, the theme of things not working remains constant.
