Nilüfer Yanya – “Mutations” (Music on TunesDeck)

Nilüfer Yanya is gearing up for the release of her upcoming album “My Method Actor” and has unveiled a fourth track in advance called “Mutations.” This song features Yanya’s subdued vocals set against a melancholic chord progression, amped up with dynamic bass and drums, reminiscent of later Radiohead tracks.

In her own words:

“Mutations” delves into the concept of change brought about by circumstances. It doesn’t symbolize a dramatic rebirth but rather signifies the small, continuous changes influenced by myriad decisions and actions that shape an individual. To me, it represents survival – not a drastic transformation but an evolution born out of one’s environment and necessities for survival. Mutation is a natural process you must undergo to evolve.”
