Ibibio Sound Machine recently released their album “Pull The Rope” and are now set to launch a new EP titled “The Black Notes”, featuring two new tracks and two remixes. The title track, “Black Notes”, has already been shared and it is a high-energy party anthem.
“Black Notes” by Ibibio Sound Machine blurs genre boundaries with its infectious house beats and dynamic electronic bassline. Eno Williams’ vocals carry a hint of ’70s gospel with a disco twist. The band describes the EP as follows:
“Black Notes” & “Honey Bee” offer a mix of soulful dance and a modern take on highlife music. The EP also includes remixes like Captain Planet’s funky Afro house version of “Pull The Rope” and Vanguard’s acid-tinged rendition of “Got To Be Who U Are”.
