After releasing “The Wish” in May, Ra Ra Riot, a well-known indie band, is now back with a fresh track titled “Friendly Neighbor,” which follows their collaboration with producer Rostam Batmanglij.
Lead vocalist Wes Miles shares, “I started writing the lyrics for this song one night while my neighbors were throwing a party. It evolved into a reflection on alienation and the breakdown of simple social interactions due to the negative impacts of the internet. The shared walls between us seemed insignificant, whether they were inches or miles thick.”
The band’s latest full-length album was “Superbloom” in 2019, followed by a live record and a special edition marking the 10th anniversary of “The Orchard.” Check out the orchestral “Friendly Neighbor” track below.
