Nigerian musician, Ahmed Ololade, professionally known as Asake, has recently dropped his latest album called Lungu Boy, which was released on Friday, August 9, 2024, and has quickly gained popularity on Nigerian social media platforms. One of the notable songs on the album is a collaboration with Asake’s mentor, Wizkid, where Wizkid talks openly about the loss of his mother for the first time.
After the passing of his mother, Wizkid had previously put out music without addressing the loss, which left some fans disappointed as they were hoping he would use his music to express his sorrow. However, in the track “MMS” with Asake, Wizkid seems prepared to confront and share his emotions regarding his mother’s death.
