Review of Cursive’s Track “Imposturing” on TunesDeck

Cursive – “Imposturing”

Cursive, the veteran emo band, is gearing up to release their 10th studio album titled Devourer next month. Prior to this, they have already shared singles like “Up And Away” and “Botch Job,” alongside their latest release, “Imposturing.”

The latest track “Imposturing” is described as highly catchy and is accompanied by a creative and somewhat gory music video directed by Tim Kasher from the band. Kasher explained in a press statement:

The main concept behind ‘Imposturing’ is about improvisation, so I came up with a narrative about a monster that symbolizes the insecurities of the lead singer (myself). As the monster takes shape, it unleashes chaos. We filmed the video in Omaha, NE over a few days, using locations like O’Leaver’s and The Admiral. Our special effects were created using DIY techniques learned from various YouTube tutorials.

Experience “Imposturing” by listening to it below.

The album Devourer will be released on 9/13 via Run For Cover.
