Bright Eyes unveiled their upcoming album Five Dice, All Threes and dropped their first single “Bells And Whistles” in June. Today, the iconic indie rock band is presenting “Rainbow Overpass” featuring Alex Orange Drink from the So So Glos.
Conor Oberst shared, “Alex and I collaborated on many tracks, but ‘Rainbow Overpass’ is the one where he takes the lead on a verse. He’s like my hype man, adding a touch of Beastie Boys vibe! Their punk rock and Beasties influences seep through in short bursts of different voices. It injects energy. Sometimes, music can feel flat until a live performance, with its adrenaline and raw energy. Instead of capturing that energy post-tour, I aimed to infuse some of that spirit into the recording.”
Along with the song release, Bright Eyes have unveiled an extensive North American tour for 2025. Below are the tour dates and a listen to “Rainbow Overpass.”
