Toad The Wet Sprocket recently unveiled a rendition of R.E.M.’s “Driver 8” live in California. Today, the band released a version of the song featuring Robin Wilson from Gin Blossoms and Matt Scannell from Vertical Horizon.
“Driver 8” is originally from R.E.M.’s 1985 album Fables Of The Reconstruction. The three bands are currently touring together, starting from August 1 and concluding at the end of September. A few years back, Toad The Wet Sprocket and Gin Blossoms collaborated on a cover of Traveling Wilburys’ “Handle With Care” alongside Barenaked Ladies.
