A$AP Rocky surprised fans with the release of “Highjack,” a track featuring Jessica Pratt from his upcoming album reportedly named Don’t Be Dumb. In a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, the rapper hinted at a song on the album that will include collaborations with Morrissey, Busta Rhymes, Flavor Flav, Slick Rick, and Fatman Scoop.
A$AP Rocky mentioned in 2021 that Morrissey was involved in writing, producing, and singing on his project. Praising the former Smiths frontman, A$AP Rocky stated, “Anything you need him to do, he shows up and delivers.” On his website, Morrissey shared his own thoughts stating that “The Guardian will be horrified to hear” about the collaboration due to his discontent with the way he has been portrayed by the publication.
Morrissey recently performed a series of rare tracks during a Las Vegas residency. Setlist records from setlist.fm reveal that he sang several songs like “Bigmouth Strikes Again” and “How Can Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel?” for the first time in several years.
