Bouncing back from a recent car accident, Boldy James, the Detroit rap star, seems to be back in full force. With collaborations on the horizon with Nicholas Craven and Conductor Williams, and a recent release of the track “Ten Pints” produced by Alchemist, Boldy is now teaming up with the prolific New York producer Harry Fraud for a new project called The Bricktionary. It’s a wonder that Boldy hadn’t thought of that title before.
While details on the upcoming project are scarce, the first single, “Cecil Fielder,” features Boldy James and Harry Fraud collaborating with Tee Grizzley, a rising star from the younger Detroit underground scene. The track delves into their past experiences in the drug trade, with Grizzley’s energetic delivery complementing Boldy’s more laid-back style.
Harry Fraud has been busy working on projects with artists like Curren$y, Valee, and RXK Nephew. He recently produced the opening track “Jet Lag” from Wiz Khalifa’s new mixtape Wiz Owens. Excitingly, The Bricktionary is slated for release later this summer.
