The recent announcement by Smashing Pumpkins introduced Aghori Mhori Mei, the successor to last year’s extensive album ATUM. Unlike typical releases, the band refrained from unveiling any singles beforehand, opting to drop the entire album at once.
Aghori Mhori Mei comprises 10 compelling tracks. Lead singer Billy Corgan shared his insight on the album:
During the creation of this new record, I delved into the age-old saying, “you can’t go home again.” While personally resonating with this notion, I pondered, what if we tried anyway? Not to dwell on the past sentimentally, but to propel ourselves forward; to explore whether the methods we used to create music between 1990 and 1996 could still evoke something groundbreaking.
