Lindsay Reamer recently introduced her first album, “Natural Science,” and shared the charming single “Figs And Peaches.” Today, the talented singer-songwriter from Philadelphia presents the catchy tune “Necessary.”
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the song, Reamer shared her experience working in Wilcox, Arizona with a friend:
During our stay at a Day’s Inn motel and work at a historic fort overrun by killer bees, we encountered interesting scenarios. We frequented a local bar where you could buy raw meats to grill on your own. Meeting skeptical railroad workers, unsure of our grilling skills and purpose in town. Amidst this, I had newfound love and someone to miss back home. On our day off in Tucson, we marveled at the majestic Saguaro cacti. Despite simple meals like continental breakfasts and microwave dinners, it was a cherished period, despite the rustic accommodations and killer bees.
“Necessary” narrates falling in love romantically, with friends, and embracing life’s quirky moments. Acknowledging the importance of relying on others, as it is indeed essential. Drawing inspiration from Sheryl Crow, a singer and songwriter I profoundly admire. Sometimes you have to take risks, just like putting raw meat on the grill and observing the outcomes—disregarding any opinions on the cooking style, as this is your journey.”
