Navy Blue, also known as Sage Elsesser, a multi-talented artist in the realms of rap, production, skateboarding, art, and modeling, is set to release a new album titled Memoirs In Armour. This upcoming release marks his first independent project since joining Def Jam in 2021. A week from today, the album will be available, along with the lead single “Low Threshold,” a contemplative and stripped-down song produced by Child Actor. In this song, Navy Blue touches on political themes, notably addressing US involvement in conflicts such as the war in Palestine, as he raps, “Money ain’t make ’em but the dollar is a motherfucker/ My tax dollar killing children and their mothers/ Fathers, aunties, cousins, uncles, all that/ Guess it’s safe to say the bottom is the place to fall at.” Check out the music video directed by Ryosuke Tanzawa below.
The album Memoirs In Armour will be released on 8/2.
