Ogbert The Nerd has been keeping busy in 2024. Band leader Madison James recently released a solo album and created a buzz by playfully taking over a website domain and sharing screamo music. Now, the main event has arrived.

In May, Ogbert released their new single “For Posterity,” showcasing their talent for energetic emo anthems. They also announced the upcoming album “What You Want,” the follow-up to their 2020 hit “I Don’t Hate You.” The surprise drop of “What You Want” was announced and the album is now available for listening.

Alongside “For Posterity,” the nine-track album features last summer’s popular “Bike Cops,” maintaining the same raw intensity, catchy tunes, and thought-provoking lyrics that fans love. While these songs are best experienced in a lively basement setting, they still sound fantastic on Bandcamp. Listen to the album below.
