A new tribute album called Silver Patron Saints: The Songs Of Jesse Malin has been revealed featuring artists like Bruce Springsteen, Spoon, and Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong. Armstrong has covered “Black Haired Girl” from Jesse Malin’s 2007 album Glitter In The Gutter. Armstrong expressed his appreciation for Malin’s songwriting and their friendship.
Alongside this cover, Green Day recently released a video for “Corvette Summer” starring Hannibal Buress and Mark Hamill. Check out both videos below along with the tracklist for Silver Patron Saints.
The tracklist for Silver Patron Saints includes songs from various artists such as Bleachers, Counting Crows, and more, paying homage to Jesse Malin’s music. The album is set to be released on 9/20 by Glassnote.
