The family of the late artist Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has conducted a second autopsy to uncover the reason behind his passing. Magistrate T.A. Shotobi of the Ikorodu Coroner Court in Lagos granted authorization to Mr. Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, on June 26 to organize an independent examination by a certified pathologist, with all expenses to be covered by Mr. Aloba.
According to a statement released on behalf of the family by Monisola Odumosu from the legal team, the autopsy took place on July 19 and July 20. The process involved two phases, with the first phase completed. If the cause of d£ath remains unclear, further toxicology and histology tests will be carried out. Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, and pathologists chosen by both him and Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi Aloba, were present during the examination.
Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023. The initial autopsy performed after his exhumation on September 21, 2023, was inconclusive in determining the cause of d£ath due to decomposition.
