Peel Dream Magazine, led by Joe Stevens, revealed the upcoming album Rose Main Reading Room inspired by the New York Public Library, set to be released in August. Prior to this, the song “Lie In The Gutter” was unveiled, and now Stevens has shared a new track from the album, “Wish You Well,” accompanied by a self-directed/edited video.
In an interview with Stereogum, Stevens discussed the song, stating, “‘Wish You Well’ delves into primal instincts. It explores the concept of social climbers in the music industry and the competitiveness that exists despite denials. It highlights the underlying animalistic nature within us all, always striving to outdo one another.”
