Olamide Clarifies His Latest Project “IKIGAI” is an EP, Not an Album

Olamide, a well-known Nigerian rapper, has a message for his fans regarding his latest work “IKIGAI,” which has been gaining attention. He wants to make it clear that it should be referred to as an extended play (EP) and not an album. “IKIGAI,” which translates to “a reason for living” in Japanese, consists of seven tracks and showcases Olamide’s growth and understanding of the Nigerian music scene.

The EP includes collaborations with talented artists like Fireboy DML, Asake, SABRI, Pheelz, Young Jonn, and Lil Kesh, demonstrating Olamide’s versatility in blending different musical styles. By addressing this distinction, Olamide underlines the importance of accuracy and attention to detail in the music industry, even in the age of digital music.
