The Fastbacks Reveal First New Album After 25 Years

Fastbacks Announce First New Album In 25 Years

The Fastbacks have recently announced their upcoming album, their first in a quarter of a century. The band, comprising original members Kurt Bloch, Kim Warnick, and Lulu Gargiulo alongside longtime drummer Michael Musburger, is ready to make a comeback without former member Duff McKagan from Guns N’ Roses.

Reflecting on his time with the Fastbacks, McKagan shared:

Learning from Kurt Bloch was incredibly valuable. That’s when I began playing drums – the transition was smooth. Kurt, an amazing songwriter, exposed me to bands like Badfinger, MC5, and the Stooges. These were the years of discovering music that predated the punk scene I was immersed in. Those early years shaped my understanding of being in a band and the power of music.

The newly announced album, titled for WHAT reason!, is set to be released in August. The lead single “Come On” marks Warnick’s debut as a songwriter for the band. Stay tuned for the video below.

for WHAT reason! will be available on 8/28 through No Threes Records.
