Liam Benzvi – “Other Guys” (Feat. Blood Orange)

With a string of collaborations over the years, Liam Benzvi, a New York pop-rock artist formerly of the indie-pop band Strange Names, is getting ready for the launch of his upcoming album, …And His Splash Band. Recently sharing the lead single “Dust,” he now presents “Other Guys” featuring his frequent collaborator Dev Hynes, known as Blood Orange.

Benzvi describes “Other Guys” as a meditative track that invokes movement as a form of meditation. The accompanying music video, directed by Luca Venter, captures the essence of constant motion in the bustling cityscape of New York, emphasizing a sense of wandering and contentment.

The genesis of the song dates back to 2016 when a demo of a different song was rediscovered and reworked, reflecting themes of self-discovery, social interaction, and personal preferences. The collaboration with Blood Orange adds a unique texture to the track, blending their voices seamlessly.
