Wild Pink recently signed with Fire Talk and unveiled their EP titled Strawberry Eraser, featuring the standout track “Air Drumming Fix You.” The band’s first full-length album with the label, Dulling The Horns, will be released in October, following their 2022 album ILYSM. The lead single and opening track, “The Fences Of Stonehenge,” showcases a more energetic side of Wild Pink, blending dreamy-Mellencamp influences. In a statement about the song, John Ross expressed:
“I was experimenting with classic lyrical themes to deconstruct them as a song idea while acknowledging their lyrical appeal. The song delves into the realization of outgrowing past interests. I had a strong inclination that this track would be the album opener while writing it.”
The dynamic sound of Wild Pink in this single highlights why slower tracks were reserved for the EP. Listen to “The Fences Of Stonehenge” below.
